The 15th Annual One-Act Festival will take place on Thursday, January 22 and Friday, January 23 at 7:00 p.m. in the high school's Main Auditorium. The festival will feature six short plays directed and performed by Heights High's Drama Club. There is no cost for admission and doors open at 6:30 p.m.

Members of Heights High's Instrumental Music Department will grace the stage of the Grog Shop on Saturday, January 24 at 1:00 p.m. to raise funds for uniforms, tour scholarships and more. Tickets are $15 for adults and $5 for students.

The Heights High School Counseling team will host an informational night for the College Credit Plus program on Thursday, January 15 at 6:30p.m. in the high school auditorium. Parents and students will have the opportunity to learn from local college representatives about the requirements for earning college and high school credit. students in grades 7-12 are eligible to participate in the program.

Back in October, Heights High seniors Eleanor Lubbers, Gabriel Mallamad, and Lev McFarland were announced as National Merit Scholarship Semifinalists. The scholars recently shared their experiences taking Advanced Placement (AP) and College Credit Plus (CCP) classes, extracurricular activities they are involved in, and Heights High faculty that have made an impact on them during their high school careers.

Last week, Heights High's sophomores traveled to Maple Heights High School to learn more about the twenty-two CTE programs that are offered at the annual Heights Career Tech Choice Fair. At the fair, the students were able to see what CTE opportunities are available not only at Heights High School, but also at the other three schools in the Heights Career Tech Consortium.
