Happening at Heights High

10th Graders Explore Career Tech Program Options at Annual Choice Fair

Last week, Heights High's sophomores traveled to Maple Heights High School to learn more about the twenty-two CTE programs that are offered at the annual Heights Career Tech Choice Fair. At the fair, the students were able to see what CTE opportunities are available not only at Heights High School, but also at the other three schools in the Heights Career Tech Consortium.

Auto Tech CTE Students Get Hands-On Experience Repairing Golf Carts

No stranger to going above and beyond for his students, when Jeff Porter received two golf carts at the Automotive Technology garage at the Delisle Options Center that needed to be serviced, he immediately came up with the idea to have his CTE classes oversee the process. And to use this opportunity for his students to have hands-on, real world experiences that would apply to their current and upcoming units.

69 Heights High Students Named AP Scholars

69 Heights High School students from the Classes of 2025, 2026, and 2027 have been recognized by the College Board for their outstanding performance on in AP courses from the 2024-2025 school year. Congratulations to these 69 students and all of the Heights High students for stepping up to the challenge of enrolling in AP courses!

Dreams, Courage, and Redemption: Heights High Brings “Les Misérables” to Life

Cleveland Heights High School will present this year's District musical, "Les Misérables - School Edition" on November 1 and 8 at 7 p.m. and November 2 and 9 at 2 p.m. The show, reworked to be performed by high school groups, is based on the celebrated novel by Victor Hugo. Tickets are only available online and can be purchased at www.clevelandheightschoirs.com.

Planting Seeds for the Future: Heights High Celebrates GEAR UP Week

Heights High School and the Delisle Options Center recently celebrated GEAR UP Week, a nationwide observance that6 highlights the achievements of students and the impact of the GEAR UP initiative. This year's theme was "Planting Seeds" and inspired students to envision bright futures and take meaningful steps towards achieving their educational and career goals through various fun, reflective, and career-focused activities.
