Heights High sophomore Cordelia Bender spent two weeks as a junior intern at a North Carolina sea turtle rescue center, where she helped care for injured and sick turtles and even took part in releasing 11 back into the ocean. The experience strengthened her passion for marine biology and conservation and renewed her dream of making a difference in the lives of sea turtles.

Heights High Pool
The public opening of the indoor Heights High pool, which was scheduled for September 14, 2026, has been delayed due to a broken pump. We anticipate that the pool will reopen in mid-October. As a result, indoor pool passes for the fall session will be refunded by the City.
The City of Cleveland Heights and the District will communicate a revised opening plan as soon as possible. We thank you for your patience and understanding. View additional information here.
