14 Heights High CTE Students Inducted into National Technical Honor Society

Fourteen Cleveland Heights High School students in the Heights Career Tech programs were inducted into the National Technical Honor Society on February 26. The National Technical Honor Society (NTHS) is an educational non-profit that exists to honor, recognize and empower students and teachers in Career and Technical Education.

Career and Technical Education students qualify for membership to the NTHS when they have an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale, unweighted and other factors that include: credit hours completed, attendance, one or more faculty and/or staff recommendations, active involvement in school government, and membership(s) in Career Tech student organizations.

The National Technical Honor Society's mission is: To honor students achievements, leadership, promote educational excellence, and enhance career opportunities for the NTHS membership.

ASE Endorsement: The National Institute for Automotive Excellence (ASE) promotes excellence in vehicle repair, service, and parts distribution. Over a quarter of a million individuals hold ASE certifications. ASE Certified professionals work in every part of the transportation industry. For over 50 years, ASE (an independent non-profit organization) has worked to improve the quality of vehicle repair and service by testing and certifying automotive professionals.

To earn the ASE Endorsement, students must attain one or more ASE Entry Level Certification.
