Thomas Named Heights High School Principal
Stephanie Thomas has been officially named Principal of Cleveland Heights High School, effective August 1, 2026.
Thomas has served Heights High School since 2023 as an assistant principal. Thomas has also been a teacher and an instructional coach in the Cleveland Metropolitan School District, where she provided building-level strategic planning and coached teachers on research-based instructional practices.
“In her work at Heights High School over the last several years, Ms. Thomas has demonstrated an equity-centered, data-driven approach to leadership, empowering staff to help build a positive school culture,” said Superintendent Liz Kirby. “I am proud to see her take on this new role and continue making an impact at Heights High.”
Thomas holds a bachelor’s degree in human development and family studies from The Ohio State University and a master’s degree in educational leadership from Cleveland State University.
“My vision for Heights High is rooted in the belief that strong culture and strong achievement go hand-in-hand. I am committed to creating a school environment where every student feels a sense of belonging, is held to high expectations, and is empowered to achieve at the highest levels,” said Thomas.
